Welcome to the RRPictureArchives.NET contributor site of Tom Dethmers.  

I am a retired railroad employee with BNSF, starting in Northtown yard in 1988 and working in Fargo, ND from late 1991 to mid-1997, before moving to Fort Worth, TX. I worked in the clerical department until the end of 2000, and became a dispatcher for the Montana Division in 2001. I have worked mostly in the Twin Cities, Montana and Nebraska Divisions the last decade, and currently work the Hinckley/Superior Relief job, which includes most of the northern half of Minnesota. I have been a life long fan of the railroads, and shot most of my pictures before I started working for BN. I was also actively involved with the Minnesota Transportation Museum from 1981 to 1991. I hope you enjoy some of these memories from 30 plus years ago.
