Description:
Milwaukee Road train from St. Paul to Duluth MN climbing out of Swede Hollow on the former BN/NP route and passing under the CNW 400 route to Chicago. This line is now part of the Bruce Vento trail and was abandoned in 1988.

Northbound fighting the hill
Description:
The train has gotten most of its cars off the worst part of the grade and is now coming to Earl Street and ready to swing north towards White Bear Lake. Milwaukee ran two to three trains a day each way to Duluth in these days.

Number 204 is either heading to or from a Sprint train at St. Paul Yard. I always thought Milwaukees paint scheme was one of the best on and SD40-2.
